Alex admitted that he was so nervous before last week’s live show that he threw up backstage. Alex said that he wants to “love being on stage instead of being terrified of being on stage” and we think the guitar really helped him get over his nerves last night. He gave a truly touching rendition of the Legend track and the judges raved about the youngsters talent.
Randy said it was a great improvement on last week’s performance, and said that Alex found his own voice.
Ellen started with the banana analogies again and said Alex’s performance was like “someone took the unripe banana and put it in a paper bag…”
Kara DioGuardi said that Alex has an “incredible recordable voice” that producers and writers would die for.
Simon Cowell said that Alex was a “million times better” than last week but wants him to develop a “killer, killer instinct”.
